Chef Profile

My name is Josh & I'm the resident Chef at the Taipa Bay Resort.

I've been here for the last 18 months & enjoying every moment of it.


I attended Taipa Area School until 6th Form then began commercial Fishing out of Mangonui Harbour. I then travelled overseas to Fiji and joined my Brother on a Big Tuna Boat.

I returned to New Zealand after 4 years & worked at various Restaurants in Auckland gaining as much knowledge & experience as I could.
It's good to return to my Hometown and run a Restaurant with new & innovative ideas.
I love cooking with Seafood especially living and working on the coast, where I frequently Fish, Dive & Surf.

I pride myself in having a Menu that is in some ways simple but it's good Kiwi-ana food as well, Fresh Seafood and Great Presentation are Essential.
I started my training at A.U.T where I did my level 1,2,3,4 and met some good friends along the way whom I still remain friends with to this day.

So if you're in the Doubtless Bay area for a short trip or the Holidays then bring the family down for a bite to eat or even just a take-away Pizza
